β©οΈ Cancellations and Refunds
When an order becomes chargeable
Nothing is charged while you are building an order. Credits are deducted at the moment you place the order. From that point, many checks start automatically, often within seconds.
Can I cancel an order?
You cannot cancel an order directly in the platform, because most checks are initiated automatically as soon as the order is placed. To request a cancellation, contact verifications@scaut.com. If checks have already been processed, those parts are normally still charged.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are reviewed case by case by the support and billing team. The general principles are:
- Checks that have already been processed are normally non-refundable, because the work and the third-party data requests have already happened.
- Parts of an order that have not yet started may be cancellable, and the support team will tell you what is possible for your specific order.
There is no fixed self-service refund button or automatic refund window. The outcome depends on how far the order has progressed.
I ordered by mistake or entered incorrect data
Contact verifications@scaut.com and explain the situation. Note that data cannot be edited after a screening is initiated, because many processes start immediately. If something needs to be re-run, extra charges may apply.
How to request a review
To help the team resolve it quickly, include:
- The subject's name and the order reference.
- What you would like to happen (cancel, refund, or re-run).
- A short explanation, for example that the order was placed in error or with incorrect data.
The team will review which parts of the order have already been processed and confirm what can be done.
