β FAQ for Organizations
I want to run a check on something that isn't in the platform?
The Scaut platform is a flexible verification tool. Contact sales@scaut.com and let us know what you're looking for. If we can verify it, we can deliver it.
I would like to use Scaut in my HR or ATS system. Is it possible?
Scaut supports many popular integrations already. Visit scaut.com to find out more, or contact Scaut to inquire about supporting a new integration.
How many users can use the same account?
The free version allows a single user. If you require more users, you can upgrade your Scaut plan to unlock more.
Does Scaut obtain consent from subjects of screening?
The subject provides consent at the end of their screening by signing the authorization form and clicking confirmation, granting authorization to Scaut to request and verify data from 3rd-party sources. Scaut may also request specific consent directly (e.g., specific release form, Power of attorney).
What are my obligations regarding data?
As the data controller, you must have consent and/or legitimate interest to allow Scaut to process subject's personal data on your behalf. This usually takes place at the beginning of recruitment. Note there's a significant difference between data processing consents (e.g., under GDPR) and consent for release of information from data sources.
What happens to subjects' personal data?
Subject data is stored by Scaut as evidence of the check for a period defined by you. After that, all data is securely deleted. Scaut doesn't keep copies or process subjects' data for any other purpose. Scaut is a data processor (not controller) following rules and scope set by the organization requesting the check.
